Admissions to Philadelphia Hebrew Day School

Thank you for your interest in Philadelphia Hebrew Day School. We are excited to have you join our community of learners. Please follow these steps to apply:

1. Schedule a tour of our school. 

There is nothing like experiencing our school firsthand. Come tour our facilities to learn about the warm and inclusive environment your child will be learning in. 

2. Submit an application.


Let us get to know you and your family! Please make sure you have all this submitted as part of your application: 

 Sections 1-9 are filled out by a parent or legal guardian; 

 Sections 10 and 11 are submitted to your child’s current school; 

 Enrollment form is filled out, and you have included the $250 registration fee;  supporting documents if applicable

3. Schedule an interview.


Invite your child to participate in an admissions playdate. Once we receive your application, we will call you to schedule a time for you and your child to come visit us. 

4. Application Review 

All applications will be reviewed by the admissions committee. After careful consideration of everything we have learned about your child, we may request an observation in your child’s current school and/or an evaluation as part of the admissions process. 

5. Admissions Decision 

Decisions will be sent out within two weeks of your application being completed. Upon acceptance, you will receive your tuition contract, applications for financial aid, and any other paperwork necessary for enrollment. The tuition contract needs to be signed and returned to finalize enrollment.
